Setup for Non-Firm Admin Advisers

Tasks to complete to get non-firm admin advisers started

If any of your advisers do not have the firm admin permission, you must complete the below tasks to ensure they can get started.

  • Assign all their clients to them
  • Assign all their clients' managed accounts to the client profile

Assign Clients to non- firm Admin Advisers

Only firm admins can assign clients to advisers. However, it is imperative that firm admins assign non-firm admin advisers' clients to those non-firm advisers. Without the admin permission, non-firm admin advisers cannot see their clients. Once the client is assigned to a non-firm admin advisers, the non-firm admin adviser has the ability to reassign the client but it is up to you to take this initial step for the non-firm admin adviser. That is why it is recommended that you designate all advisers as firm admins as it pertains to this dashboard.

Assign managed accounts to clients who have advisers without the firm admin permission

In addition to not being able to see their clients, advisers without the firm admin permission can't see managed accounts on the Accounts page. That being the case, it is up to you, an adviser with the firm admin permission, to assign their managed accounts to their clients. Once the managed accounts are assigned to one of their clients, they do have the ability to reassign but it is up to you to take this initial step for the non-firm admin adviser. That is why it is recommended that you designate all advisers as firm admins as it pertains to this dashboard.
