Oranj allows you to set two different types of security restrictions for an account: sell restrictions and exclusions.
Setting a Do Not Sell restriction on an account will still allow the security to be included in both the rebalancing process and the model itself, whereas an exclusion is ignored when rebalancing, and will not be seen as part of the model.
Do Not Sell
To set a Do Not Sell restriction for an account, open the account you wish to set the restriction for and find the security within the Balances & Restrictions table at the bottom of the page. Check the box in the Do Not Sell column. Remember to select Save when you are finished, so that your changes are updated.
To remove the restriction, follow the same steps as above, and select the selected box in the Do Not Sell column to remove the selection. Click the Save button once you have removed the restriction.
You can also exclude securities from the rebalancing process. This will completely remove the selected securities from the process, and adjust the value of the account to accommodate the excluded security.
To exclude securities at the account level, open the account you wish to enter the exclusion on and find the security within the Balances & Restrictions table at the bottom of the page. Check the applicable box in the Exclude column, then remember to click Save when you are finished.
